Charcoal
A pencil with a refill made of carbon lead and glue has a strong black color. It is not easy to fade. When dealing with heavy colors in the picture, it will not reflect light as easily as a pencil, but it is not easy to change. It is recommended that beginners do not use it.
crayons
Crayons are pens made by mixing pigments with wax. They can have dozens of colors and are used for painting. Crayons have no permeability and are fixed on the screen by adhesion. It is not suitable to use too smooth paper or board, and it is not possible to obtain composite colors through repeated color stacking. It is an ideal tool for children to learn color painting, and some painters use it for sketching and color recording.
color chalk
The color chalk is richer in color and can be used for monochrome sketches. Pastels are soft or hard, and beginners should choose according to their own drawing level. Pastel, often called soft toner in the West, is a dry chalk made of pigment powder. It is generally a round or square rod with a length of 8-10cm, and there are also expensive veneer-colored chalks that can be used for painting.
